The 2009 Wahnee Descendants Annual Pow-Wow Has Been Cancelled!
August 09, 2009 - 4:18 p.m.
|
The Wahnee Descendants have taken quite a loss over the past couple of weeks. There have been several passings of family members so we have decided to cancel this year's Annual Pow-Wow out of respect for our family members.
Any obligations that we have scheduled for the next couple of months will be cancelled as well. The Wahnee Descendants have been asked to Co-Host several Pow-Wow's as well as Head Staff positions so we will contact those families and organizations and let them know what our situation is and that we must regretfully remove ourselves from those positions as well as decline upcoming engagements until a proper time of mourning has passed.
We wish sincere condolences to all our family members who have lost loved ones over the past couple of weeks. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time. Ura!
Maruawe! Welcome Wahnee Descendants!

The time has come for the Wahnee Descendants to claim their place on the internet. For the longest time our proud family has gone without an online presence and so this website is an attempt to bring all family and friends together to a central location so we may share information in an easy and timely manner. This website will evolve as time goes on into a center of shared ideals between the Wahnee Descendants (Wahnee, Conneywerdy, and Kopaddy Families) as well as other Pow-Wow Organizations we choose to sponsor or support. For sections that aren't hard coded into the main website; there will definitely be a section inside the Forums that will announce important events such as Pow-Wow Dates, Marriages, Births, Graduations, Promotions, Reunions, and anything else under the sun.
Please make sure to check out all the links to the left to see all that we have to offer. If you see something that needs to be amended please contact the "Webmaster" with your request. Please keep in mind, not all suggestions can be implemented as there must be some measure of control over the content that is posted on this site, but everything will be taken into consideration. Please check back often as there will be more and more content added all the time. Uraako!
